How come I get an error message with Internet Explorer 8 and Adobe Reader 9?

When I close an Internet Explorer 8 window, an error message pops up that says "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"However, when I removed my Adobe Reader 9, that message does not pop up anymore when I close a internet explorer window/I wonder what's wrong?? How can I fix this?
