[Problem!] 9000HD freezing

It started with D*sh freezing and then extended to Bev as well.
Did a factory reset, re-flashed with VIEWSAT_HD_v121.pgm and then PFTAHDSW_080929H_NewGUI.pgm, re-scanned and the same problem came back after a short while. Even USB port doesn't work properly anymore.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Any tips?

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that freeezing is in the form of both Signal and Quality going to 0. And turning the receiver off and on (not power cycling) fixes the problem for a few seconds to minutes.

I don't have your brand, but am having the same issues with my CS7100. I understand that a few other people are as well

I used to have that exact problem with my extreme in the bedroom. I put up with it for a while and then got really really sick of it and decided to look into it. For me anyways it turned out to be a bad (slice) in the coax and when a little rain got in there it would play with the signal. I'm not sure if this helps you but might be worth a try. Also look for rusty connections as water will corrode the copper in the coax.

For me it turned out to be a bad LNB. I knew one of my LNB's had stopped working and I was going to replace it but didn't know that besides not working itself it was wrecking havoc with my receiver and switches as well.

Correction:
My problem seems to be the DiscEq switch and not the LNB.
I installed a new LNB and the same problem. Only after retiring one more port of this DiscEq switch it started to work again. Now only 2 out of 4 are working. The switch that came with the receiver does not work either.
So I have to buy new DiscEq switches.
What is the best brand out there, tried, tested and proven true?

All disqc are good use a viewsat disqc....the only thing is you must have power off from receiver when connecting this can damage it when you plug in the cables....
