According to Broadband TV News, telecom giant BT may consider bidding for rights to Premier League soccer coverage in the United Kingdom when the current contracts expire next year. Bidding also may attract ESPN and current contract holders British Sky Broadcasting and Setanta, the publication said --- ViaSat received an order for 5,000 SurfBeam Ka-Band broadband terminals from OpenSky for the launch of Eutelsat Tooway consumer broadband service in Italy --- GlobeCast said it was chosen by TAM TAM TV in the Ivory Coast to provide a broadcast solution that combines remote broadcast delivery via internet with satellite distribution.
