[General Question?] Can I fix my dead Pansat 3500SD without a JTag cable?

Is it possible to fix a dead Pansat 3500SD without a JTag cable?

The reason why I am asking is because I saw some files called NO JTag so I was wondering if you did not need the JTag cable. Seems pretty obvious, but I just wanted to make sure.

Use the null cable and the loader program to load the latest factory file for your receiver...then load the latest fix for it....
