DISH Shifts Advertising Stance

DISH Network has a new target in its quest to attract new subscribers ... DIRECTV.

OK, maybe DTV isn't such a new target for DISH, but for the first time in recent memory, the Colorado-based DBS provider is going after its rival directly in a new series of advertisements.

Launched in 90 newspapers (yes, newspapers) nationwide this week, the new campaign presents DIRECTV as the more expensive satellite TV option and alleges that the provider passes costs related to NFL Sunday Ticket to all of its customers (including those that don't subscribe to the premium service). The ad also reiterates DISH's recent claim that it offers more HD content that any other pay TV provider.

According to DISH, the ads are scheduled to run through at least the end of June along with a companion web site at dishbeatsdirectv.com

Great!! Now there are many Satellite TV in the market. Dish TV has to really work hard from his competitor like DirectTV, Ordersattellitenow, Dishpronto etc.

Thanks,
James

i never liked satallite television anyways... never had any luck. i could live in an area where i'm the tallest thing for miles and still get blocked signals.

here a little thing that not to many people know dish never advertised too much because Dish owns most of the satalite up there, and DTV and cable rents the air wave from DN. that where DN GET paid, that why you pay alittle more from DTV and Cable, cable is unable to give HD with out satalite, it's about time DN see that there is more money with there own customers with lower prices....
this is a fact I was floored, when i seen the system set up in Philly at DN head quarter when i retrun a defected reciever and seen miles of giant dish and seen with all kinds of different name on them and DTV, COMCAST all of them...
