Guide for Loading Bin 253 - New Box and one already up, with Pictures
Here is a quick guide with Pictures on how to Load Limesat Bin V253, with some Pictures
No Factory Bins need to be loaded cause this new Bin takes care of that. It brings the Box to a Near Factory State.
For New Out of Box Limesat:
1) Download and Extract Limesat Bin 253 from the Files Section and copy Bin 253 file to your USB Stick.
2) Connect Network Cable from receiver to Router, the Sat cable and the AC Power Power Cord.
3) Hook it up with composite connection to your TV. (Red, White,Yellow) or Component Cables (Red, Green Blue for Video and Red/White for Audio) Component Connection gives Better Video Resolution.
4) Turn on the Receiver, in the Main Menu, move to USB Menu, Insert your USB Stick and call up your usb stick, if stick is not recognized, simply reboot your box with Stik in place, it will then appear and you should see the files on your usb stick, arrow down and highlight the file you want loaded, then press ok , new little pop up will come on screen, asking you yes or no to update, Choose yes and press OK.
5) Wait for uploading to complete, when it does, click yes to reboot Receiver.
6) After Receiver reboots, Gui Appears, No need to click any Defaults.
7) Click Menu, User Setttings, Time Setting - and enter your Zone and DST ON or OFF as applicable.
8) Click Menu, User Settings, System Settings - Click History Recall: ON
8) Click Menu, Channel Options, Channel Organization - and Turn Auto Roll: OFF, Auto TP: ON, Full Name OFF or ON, your choice. Full Name On (Some CHannel Names Not correct). Full Name OFF (Many CHannels with no name but they can be renamed) See others Guides for how to do this. Exit
9) Go to Menu, Antenna Set up, choose a Sat to set up. Set up LNB Freq, LNB Type and Diseqc Port or others for other type of Switches. Exit
10) Conform that the Sat you are setting up is displayed at the top Right hand Corner of the Screen (locked in Sat), scroll down and Click on Search.
11) When you see next screen with Message Only FTA, click NO
12) Once Channel Scan is done, Exit and you will see SID Sorting.
13) Once done, click Exit, Click on any channel that is up and you should have TV.
If not:
a) Click on CH 101, if you have a Picture Start a Thread of your own and Post your questions for assistance.
b) If you have no Picture on CH 101, check your sat Cable and be certain you scanned the correct Satellite. If still no Picture, Post for assistance.
For best Picture Quality, it is recommended to use the Component Cables (Red Blue, Green) and (Red and White) for Audio.
Loading Bin 253 on a previously working Limesat that had a previous Bin loaded.
Follow the Items from above as Bin 253 will take the Receiver to a near Factory state, so that the Satellites need setting up and Scanning. Time will have to be set up as will any other sections that were set, like the Time, the Auto TP:ON, Auto Roll:OFF, Recall History: ON
