IDC in Europe, MSV and Telesat, TerreStar

International Datacasting, a provider of advanced solutions for the distribution of broadband multimedia content via satellite, said it has a deal with OpenSky, based in Italy, for the provision of IDC's broadband satellite technology. The solution will support the rollout of a new digital cinema distribution network in Europe --- Mobile Satellite Ventures and its joint venture partner Mobile Satellite Ventures Canada selected Telesat to manage in-orbit operations for both the MSV-1 and MSV-2 satellites that will be launched into respective U.S. and Canadian orbital slots --- TerreStar Europe, a European mobile communications provider, said Richard Vos has been named a director of the company.
