If i Change add an extra harddrive will it make my computer faster?

Okay so I download way too many things on my computer and I want to know if i add an external hard drive, if it would increase my computers speed. When I download things like torrents my internet and computer becomes very slow. The hard drive I want to add is a 1TB seagate external drive. Also if this does make it faster how do i set up the harddrive in a way to make everything I download save onto that harddrive?Thank You!

Lol..Alright..Hard drive has nothing to do with speed..It is just how much space you have..If you want your speed to go up..get more RAM..but there is a limit..Changing one part..Might need you to change all parts..GOOD LUCK!

It will make your PC slightly faster. Not your internet of course To make it save in your external hard disc, do this:When you open an torrent, you'll see the "save as" thing.Save as:F/downloads

Yes, leaving 50% or more of you main hard drive open will make your computer faster. If you use Bittorrent go to options>preferences>directories and make the folder of "put new downloads in" a folder on the external drive. If you use another torrent program you will have to do something similar to that just change where downloaded files save to.

maybe? but, it would have to be compatible with your pc. one of your drives will have to be set on slave or J8 jumper setting.
