Insert USB stick into computer. click Start, Computer, Removeable Disk, right click, click format Disk, make sure it says FAT 32 for file system,click Quick Format. This will wipe the drive clean.
D/L & Unzip new file in Sonicview folder.
Click "send to", Removeable Drive".
In the tasktray, click the first green icon, "safely remove hardware". Click "stop", and then "OK".
Remove USB stick and insert into receiver.
In menu, go to USB files and click on this file to let it write to the receiver. Do NOT remove USB stick until receiver reboots.
If the USB is not recognized, or says "file system is not clean, unknown USB drive error, no USB connection", then reload the factory bin, 0101 Rom, and then the latest file again.
This is how I got mine going from trial, error, and reading here. Hope it helps someone.
