British Sky Broadcasting appointed Andy Brent group brand marketing director. Brent will be responsible for brand marketing across the company's range of home entertainment and communications services --- At the annual World Satellite Business Week event this week in Paris, Eutelsat was given the award for "Best Satellite Operator of The Year" for its continued growth and profitability. The honor was given by Euroconsult, the analyst and research company focused on satellite applications and digital broadcasting --- SES New Skies said that Talia Limited, a supplier of satellite internet services for North Africa and the Middle East, has contracted multiple transponders on the NSS-12 satellite. That spacecraft is set for launch in the second half of 2009.
