A man is in serious condition following an attack on the Atlantic Street walking track in the southend area of Sydney.
At about 12:20 a.m. the 50-year-old man banged on the front door of a nearby home. The homeowner didn't let the man in, but called 911 immediately.
The victim was initially taken to Cape Breton Regional Hospital with serious injuries, then transferred to a Halifax hospital.
Police said the man's injuries were not life-threatening.
