PLATFORMS: DIRECTV Adds HD Locals, DISH DTV Efforts
DIRECTV expanded local HD channel offerings in the following markets: Syracuse, N.Y.; Toledo and Youngstown, Ohio; Mobile, Ala.-Pensacola, Fla.; Richmond-Petersburg, Va.; and South Bend-Elkhart, Ind. --- The Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network and DISH Network conducted a field trial of a new public information campaign designed to educate Latino consumers about the digital TV transition. The trial took place at community organizations in New York and Puerto Rico using HITN's CBO Connect platform, the entities said.
