TECHNOLOGY: ViaSat/ArcLight Milestone, Astra Launch Delayed

ViaSat said its ArcLight airborne broadband system has recently passed 100,000 flight hours. ArcLight delivers cable-like broadband service to business aircraft, and offers faster speeds at a lower cost when compared to either cellular or other satellite mobile broadband alternatives, ViaSat said --- The launch of a Proton launch vehicle with the Astra 1M satellite was postponed after an anomaly was discovered with ground equipment at the launch site on Kazakhstan. That anomaly has been fixed. The new launch date is Nov. 3, stated International Launch Services.
