[Problem!] Vertical Black Lines on TV Screen For Every Channel

Hi,

I have a VS2000 Ultra Lite, and ever since Saturday night I have been getting vertical black lines on my TV screen for every channel. I have clear sound, but the picture is obstructed with the black lines. I loaded the latest file, even unplugged everything and let it sit all day while at work, but still not working. Anybody have any suggestions?

Did you disconect the coax cable if you did'nt try that make sure power is off from receiver first or you will fry your lnb's....also maybe you might have a bad lnb do you have extra to test....??????????????????

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, I disconnected everything from the box. Even took my Viewsat Extreme from another room and hooked it up, and everything worked fine as normal. So, I'm a little confused why I'm having trouble all of a sudden with the Ultra Lite.

I can't test the Ultra Lite in my other room where I have the Extreme b/c I need the extra hook ups for my AV equipment that the Extreme offers to make it work.

Should I wait for a new fix to become available?

Here's something else. When I unplug everything from the box and turn my tv back on the picture is perfectly clear until about 2 minutes then the lines start forming and progressively get worse. By 4-5 min the screen is covered in black lines.

Yes, I thought of that too! I switched out the rca cable with a new one and still no difference. I thought of the tv as well, that is why I switched out the ultra lite to see if it would happen with the Extreme. The Extreme works perfectly, clear screen and all!

Do you think it is the fix?

then try doing a factory reset and re load the latest bin......
