What is nvidia drivers used for?

I want to delete some programs so i can lag less in my games and nvidia drivers are taking up 2 gb of space. Is it something important and do i need it to play my games?

1. They should not be taking up 2GB of space, so you might want to look into what is going on there and....2. YOU NEED THEM. This is what the computer uses to control the video card. no nvidia drivers = no video games.

nvidia drivers are to run your graphics card which runs your monitor and your resolution etc, so suggest you find something else to delete?
