Why does my dell photo 964 printer say that my cartridge is missing?

It use to work perfectly then i got a ink refill then that's when the problems started. My ink cartridges are full but my printer still says that its low on ink.But my color ink still works fine. However my black catridges says that its missing. So it doesnt print out black. What can i do to fix it? I already took it out and reset the printer.

When a cartridge is refilled often times ink will seep up behind the electronic strip prohibiting the printer from communicating with the cartridge.You need to replace the cartridge, the one you have now is permanently damaged.
