[Not Working!] Can a wf be defective fresh out of the box??

hey guys, i got both viewsat ultra n viewsat max. i tried both of them with the wf and they dont work. i followed all of the instructions and nothing comes up. i mean i know i am getting internet cause i can see my ip and stuff and the network s/w updates. But then nothing works. I check the wf and the orange light seems to be blinking pretty fast its not a slow blink. it would really suck if the one i got is defective. Plz help maybe im doing something wrong, which i doubt cause i have been here all day checking and rechecking everything and still nothing on either box. Thanks a lot for any help you guys may have.

Most importantly Install the 624 file for the ultra and upgrade the WF, if you are getting a scrambled channel message and no TV try resetting your ultra by the back button, the serial cable should have longer screws but it's doesn't so make sure you have a good connection there, what is the strength of Q for the satellites you want to get ?

Man the Q is up there between 90 and 100. i dont know, i was reading that the wf can be defective. i tried resetting the box and still nothing. I guess ima try and exchange it for another one see if i get the same problem. Soo disappointed. Thanks for tryin to help though, i'll keep you posted if i get any progress. thanks again

i got it to work it was the wf it was defective. Thanks again for all the help guys take it easy
