I just got a viewsatpro andi just set it up with ecostar 7 but can not scan for channel? Help Please

You have to let us know if you have a signal or quality for that sat ..if your settings are correct ....

Also if your even aimed at echo7, right lnb settings, quality / signal, ect.ect... We need more info to help ya out.

I have a Signal at 85 and a Quality at 87. During the scan i still don't get any channels.

easy set up in English
Setup:
Default password is 0000
First please download the latest bin(file) for your ultralite, unzip the file onto your computer. Upload to your usb drive(flash drive). Plug your usb drive into the usb port on your ultra lite(STB-set top box). It will give a message on your television screen teling you basically it recognizes your drive. Press menu on your remote. Go to user settings >parental control >menu lock. Push exit one time (this will save you trouble in the future). Push the exit key on your remote. Go to System Information >reciver upgrade >Go to usb press ok. It should pop up with the files you have loaded on to your usb drive that are compatible scroll to the file you wish to upload and install. Press ok Follow on screen directions and wait do not reboot or power down your STB.
Do a factory default:
Press Menu again scroll to System Information once again >factory Default press ok. are you sure , yes, then once it has completed please reboot the reciever from the back switch.
Settings
Time, Etc important for the correct program guide epg)
press menu on your remote >User settings >Time >Time adjustment find your time zone this is based on gmt central is -6.00 for normal time and -5.00 for daylight savings. click ok. go back a screen using (exit).
>Av Settings set up your picture according to how you would like it displayed 4:3 is stable for older non lcd flat panel tvs. click ok. (exit)
>option 1>turn local channels on to recive your local stations, click ok, local channel region find your local stations or where they broadcast from push ok. (exit)
>Epg setting this is where you can force your guide to populate however I have found that tunning to cnn (200) or vh1 classics (163) will load the guide much faster and it will be far more stable. (exit)
setting up to recive your desired satelite feed:
Select Installation -> Antenna Setup.
For each satellite to be configured, perform the following steps:
Set Satellite to the desired satellite. ( by location degree ex110 degrees, or by name (echo* 10)
For 119 its echo* 7
lnb power on
lnb standard for single lnb, or for the dp lnbs you use ocs dp

22kz -this is for a 22khz multi switch it is the opposite of what the 7, or 10, 11 is.

diseqc if you have one set it accordingly
motor if you have one set it , if not off
legacy is a sw switch if you have one set it to yours if not leave off

At this point, you should see readings on the signal strength (S) and quality (Q) meters above 50%.
You should also see the expected satellite name displayed in the upper right corner of the screen, (locked in Sat.) superimposed on the blue bar to the right of the words "Antenna Setup", and it must match the satellite name to right of the 'Satellite' label in the menu.
If you don't see the proper satellite name displayed or don't have reasonable signal readings, you should not proceed. You may need to change your Settings, reposition your antenna or correct wiring problems if the S signal is below 50%.
Repeat the Antenna Setup procedure, as needed, for each additional satellite.
When finished configuring satellites, press Exit and press OK with Yes selected to save your settings.
Setting up your channels(stations):

Select Installation -> Auto Scan. Set Search option to All and Network Search to On. To scan only one satellite at a time. Insure that a check-mark is present after the configured satellite name.
Select Scan Start and press OK.
When scanning has completed, press OK with Yes selected to save the results.
Repeat the procedure listed above to set and scan for the next Satellite if desired.

Select Installation -> Auto Scan. Set Search option to All and Network Search to On. push f1 on your remote select multiple satelites to scan for channels. Push (exit) that will move your your seection cursor back to the top and select scan start , press ok , wait patiently as your channel list populates pres ok to save and voula lol. press exit al the way to the main screen update your guide and you are ready to begin watching Television.
Press Exit to leave the Main Menu. Select a strong channel that shows high Q signal value. It may take some time for Auto Roll to complete and the picture and sound to appear. Be patient.
