[Help!] cnx nano2 "please upgrade latest software" error message

Hi, I broke the rule if it works don't fix it. My conaxsat nano2 was working good even though some missing
channels. yesterday loaded the latest file, 1.29 npn but all channel got scrambled.
I have reset stb to factory settings and tried to upload the prior working file 1.28 npn but i got the message
"please upgrade latest software" tried to upload 8.05 npn and 8.06 npn factory files but keep getting the same
error message.
I just had this stb for 2 months so, i don't know much about it, any suggestions, ideas or step by step procedure
to get it up and running will be greatly appreciated.

hey leo59 your fine I just found out that a few people had a problem with the 1.29 file it was all good and then it started messing up yesterday,,


OK here a few Idea,,
1st. reboot you modem, start frish

1)I think PPL who have downloaded the new Factory file and the new 1.29 file are having the most problems!!

I would suggest that if you want to download the 1.29 (just keep your old 8.06)......

(2) do a factory reset between scans. You have to load 8.09 first then load 8.10 over that. Bootloader. then 129 sw update and rescan. maybe twice like I had to. To get the scan saved. New files picked up the server quickly.

it may some time to come back 1 guy it took a day I think it's due to a lot of people loading files at the same time

thanks buttman, I have tried to resetting modem and router without success.
I was suggested to load 8.05 or 8.06 loader then, latest stb file 1.28 npn I have downloaded and unzipped such loader
but I was expecting the loader with interface options like the old coolsat loaders, instead, I got a plain file, tried to flash it tru usb but, i got the error message, I'm not sure if I'm skipping something or not doing the propper way but I w'll keep
searching and trying. I will try some of your recommendations and i will post the solution to this problem.
In the meantime, I suggest not to upgrade file 1.29 npn if not necessary to avoid running into this problem.

I have not loaded the 129 file yet and wont just start frish the like up there when you up just make a back up of your system for next time hold up there new file to fix the problems..

and there a new NPN_8.10_Factory.NPN

All you might have to do is keep registering..If you have the IP addy in IP set up, just keep registering..I saw many testers around that they succeed by keep trying and trying

Hello, The stb is all screwed up!!! the network tab is missing the iks registration, control panel is missing autorroll options and
sys information has SW: mv08.09 instead of mv01.28 I I'm stuck!!!

(1) After I have read most of the Posts complaining about the New files 8.10 and 1.29, I have decided not to change the files; yesterday (06/28) suddenly my receiver went dark. All Channels were Scrambled . No matter what I did, channels were Scrambled ! Finally I decieded to check the Systems, to my surprise, my system had nothing, no files of any kind!! I tried to download the 8.6 and 1.28 files, receiver kept sending the same message, downlod the New Files!! another word thru the Internet CNX "I think!" advises to the owners downloading the new files!

if that fails then go do this

So, here it is fellows; I did a factory default , then I have down loaded the new boot file "8.10" then the new 1.29 BIN . did the settings ,,,VOILA, my Nano2 is working FINE, no freezing so far and I have aLL THE CHANNELS.

I have made a complant to the CNX TEAM about this 129 file your not the only one that this happen to there should of been sticky with a warning on loading this 129 file,,

Hello Buttman,
I did so many things to my stb that it end up all messed up.
the stb was not responding nor recognizing to the attempts to load files so, I was just about to give up and decided to give the last try.
Loaded factory file using boot loader 8.05, (following the procedure from link above)
but stb did not recognized file being downloaded. Any way, tried to load file using usb stick but again, file was not shown at s/w file updater.
Frustrated, turned off and on rocker switch from stb and once again and decided to kill the box completely, clicked the "upgrade" button about three times on computer loader program, went back to stb and flash the file 1.29 and i couldn't believe it...
the file was there!!!!
From the three options, the S/W 1.29 file was chosen. after reboot the missing options like From network: iks registration and From OSD: local and tp auto options were already there.
Scanned sats and went to Iks registration and got "error" on display, tried a second time but this time some numbers and letters were displayed for a fracction of a second.
went back to channel screen but at the lower right corner the "off service" was displayed for every one of them.
I was excited waiting to see if the channels will come back, and after around 15 minutes all my missed channels were alive.
so, you can you imagine how happy I'm now after being w/o tv for 3 days?.

I spent all day Sunday ( about 14 hrs) and 4 hrs monday, trying to bring it back to life

Not to hijack this thread I am sorry if I erroneously do. I am new here and i am confused. I did install IX-X00-E_A2.0.18_T1455.DGL for the X-200, installed the DTP_2.53.UPB and i am trying to install DTP_5.16_Factory.UPB and the system says "Up grade new software" I have done everything, restart and all but don't seem to get my Duo going. Could someone help?

Soutmaster, this is a nano 2 thread. Apology accepted. I have a duo also.

The 5.16 file needs to be installed before the 2.53 file then update the dongle. After rebooting then scan your sats. Then go back into the menu to rs232 to the dongle & set to auto , then repeat the apply (in auto) until you get an local address. Press exit until you get to tv & select a channel like 200 & then wait to connect.
