[General Question?] DVR capabilities/incapabilities

My external hard drive doesnt work worth a bleep when I've used it occasionally on my VS900hd. Will windows media center work with my system if i downloaded the local dish provider guide? Or maybe even TIVO?

It's probably not your external hard drive I know VS9000HD DVR has some issues . and you can format the hard drive through the receiver .. Good luck let us now if this helped . also when you record with dvr you have to watch what you are recording far as I know . Cheers

That's pretty much what i thought. Any insight on TIVO or media center integration?
