Grass Roots - Franklin:
Before this mission will appear you must complete the mission: Three's Company.
Once you meet Barry at a storefront in Textile City, you will receive a text message from Barry that reveals the locations of the stashed vehicles. The areas in which the vehicles can be located will show as large green circles on your map.
There are two vehicles you need to find with each having its own mission segment and gold requirements. You can do these in any order.
Grass Roots - The Pickup:
If you go to the lumberyard on El Rancho Boulevard in Murietta Heights in East Los Santos. This is marked on the map by a green circle. You can locate a truck, Franklin will call Barry who will ask Franklin to deliver it to his apartment.
If you drive the truck on the street, you will likely be spotted by police and get a wanted rating. Use the nearby canal to escape, instead of major roads.
When you have no wanted level, drive the truck to Barry's apartment in Vespucci Beach. You will then be required to drop it off in the alleyway behind the apartment complex.
To get gold:
- Mission Time - Complete within 2 minutes and 45 seconds.
- Unwanted Outcome - Do the mission without a wanted level.
Grass Roots - The Drag:
Go to Rogers Salvage & Scrap yard just off Alta Street in La Puerta on the west side of Los Santos. This is marked on the map by a green circle as well. Locate the car and attempt to start it up.
Franklin will discover that the car is scrap after attempting to get it started without success. When Franklin calls Barry he insists the vehicle is needed and tells Franklin to find a way to move it.
At the entrance to the scrapyard is a tow truck. Use the tow truck to hitch the car and drive it to Barry's apartment.
The vehicle must be left in the alleyway behind the apartment complex.
To get gold:
- Mission Time - Complete within 1 minute and 30 seconds
- Hooked - Keep the stash car hooked until delivery.
Once you have delivered both stashed vehicles one final mission will open up.
Grass Roots - The Smoke-In:
Go to City Hall on Occupation Avenue. Climb the steps. It won't take long to discover that there is no "Smoke in".
Leave the area and the mission will end.
