Man Struck, Killed In Annville Identified Newspaper Delivery Man Hit On Main Street

ANNVILLE, Pa. -- A newspaper delivery man for The Patriot News was struck and killed Monday morning in Annville, Lebanon County.

Reed O'Neal, 53, of Annville, was struck shortly before 6 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of East Main Street police said.

O'Neal had stopped his vehicle and got out to deliver newspapers, investigators said.

He walked into the travel lane of Route 422 westbound and was struck by a vehicle driven by Odilia Campis, 54, of Annville, investigators said.

O'Neal was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reed O'Neal's death is a terrible tragedy.

Reed was an independent contractor who delivered newspapers for more than 30 years. He will be sorely missed by the customers he delighted with his personal service, and by his many friends at The Patriot-News
