OAKLAND, Calif., May 22 (UPI) -- Rajai Davis and Coco Crisp combined to drive in five runs Friday and Oakland roughed up Barry Zito to defeat San Francisco 6-1.
Zito (6-2) had compiled a 2.15 ERA over eight starts and was limiting opposing batters to a .203 average. He gave up six runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings to lose to his former team.
Davis doubled home two runs in the third and had a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Crisp had a sacrifice fly in the third and an RBI double in the seventh.
Trevor Cahill (2-2) collected the victory, allowing a run on six hits over 6 2/3.
Both teams had lost their previous two contests.
