MLB: Toronto 3, Seattle 2
SEATTLE, May 20 (UPI) -- Kevin Gregg recorded the game's final out with the potential winning runs on base Wednesday, preserving Toronto's 3-2 victory over Seattle.

The Blue Jays, who lead the major leagues with 65 home runs, won for the 13th time in 17 games and did so without its normally potent offense.

Seattle outhit the Blue Jays 10-6, but could not get the key hit in the late innings. The Mariners had seven base runners over the final three frames and could produce just two runs.

Seattle lost its fifth straight.

Toronto took a 3-0 lead through six innings, getting its runs on a sacrifice fly, a single and a bases-loaded hit batter. Ichiro Suzuki and Chone Figgins singled in Seattle runs in the seventh but Toronto kept its 3-2 lead going into the ninth.

Gregg gave up a two-out walk and single before getting Mike Sweeney to fly out to left. It was Gregg's 12th save, tops in the American League.

Brett Cecil (3-2) got the win, giving up two runs on seven hits in 6 1/3.

Doug Fister (3-2) was the hard-luck loser. He allowed three runs on five hits in eight innings.
