I just saw that the new viewsat file was recently releeased

I was just running that since my sat is already up and running - is there any benefit of updating with the new file?

well they say if it works don't fix,, but soner or later you are going to have to do an update, so keep that in mind, if you want to update your system you should have no problems,,

The older 909 bin was giving quite a few peeps tons of trouble, seems if you had to reboot your system while having the 909 on there it would not reconnect to the correct ip.
The newer 101216 solves this problem and allows the correct conection again.
You could theoretically still run with the older 909 but like I said if you reboot you may be forced to upgrade to 101216.

The main reason for the new file was because when some people powerd off their stb or hard re booted they lost communication with the server. This new file was for wf only to fix that problem. So, if you reboot or lose connection then you will need this new file.

there nothing extra that comes with the file it a fix for those who did went down and if your happen to go down you got the file waiting for you here

There's maybe a dozen or so HD up on 110.
If you update past the 902 file you will never be able to go back.

Ya, I know I can't go back - thus, i;ve been kinda hesitant on getting the new file - I;m still on the 07/06

Are your HD channels up right now? Mine aren't working

If for any reason you power off, you will need to update to the new file. Your old file is running on the CNX server, and the new file will switch you to the WF server.

I just powered up my MAXHD since it went down two weeks ago and it is now working on the old file. I was going to install the new file but I will see how long it works first.

My Ultra is using the new file and works like a champ!

YMMV.
