Loading latest file
I've been struggling with this latest file for SVs(in my case sv360elite_v406) & I'm sure others are having their share of frustrations too.

I got the usb load to work once only. Then nothing overnight. I tried all the usual - system cleaner then factory file then latest file, ad nauseum.

I finally resorted to usb load of system cleaner & factory defaults with ihub & lnb coax disconnected. Turn off the stb with back switch.

Connect the serial cable from stb to your pc(null modem cable for elite).

Open SV downloader V201

Select your com port, select the new factory file in .rom(unzipped).

Turn on the stb from the back. The loading bar should progress, if not try again.

When its done loading, the stb display will flash the word 'save' then each letter of the word 'save'('s' then 'a' then...) again & again until it reboots.

The picture will come back up on your tv.

Turn it off again form the back & restart SV downloader v201.

Choose com port, select newest unzipped file(.rom) and repeat the loading process after waiting until the stb reboots completely. The tv screen will come back up again.

Turn off from back again.

Connect ihub & lnb coax cable.

Turn back on from back.

Do your antenna & switch setup one satellite at a time & scan for channels one satellite at a time.

After all these are saved. do a hard reboot from the back switch.

Wait for the stb to fully boot & the ihub to connect.

Select a channel & wait for it to come in. If it doesn't at first try another popular channel.

I noticed a huge difference in the tp frequencies, the number of channels found & the way mine behaved while scanning compared to the usb method.

Plus I had nothing but "no service" & black screen when I knew others had service.

I'm inclined to believe that there was still a lot of bad data & files incompletely removed & that was gumming up the works. This one I'll blame on the evil dn lackeys & their 'plot to take over the world'. lol

Hope this helps
