SonicView Softkey Maker 2.03 README
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Generates an updated SonicView .key file ready to load to your box from online sources. Useful during the occasional AR downtime or AR freezing before updated BINs are available. "Special" 05/06 providers supported.
NOTE:
1) In the SV1000 using Downloader keys take effect instantaneously. In the PVR-1000 they require a reboot with the back switch. I'm not sure about the SV-4000 or 8000HD.
REVISION HISTORY
2.03
----
Updated comments/labels for 05/06 providers which I think was contributing to them conflicting with normal keys recently.
Moved elitecoders to spot #2 since it includes enhanced keys.
Fixed dss-keys so it works again. Sorry for the lack of ever implementing the timestamp viewing after all this time or better configuration through an .ini. I guess I've been lazy and adopted the attitude, if it ain't broke don't fix it. But, I still may do these things if anyone really cares.
2.02
----
Fixed a crucial bug where files were being written with an extra CR in front of CRLF and thus not formatted correctly. Result of different in meaning of "\n" between compiling in linux and windows.
2.01
----
Fixed a minor bug in AUTO mode where if the first source with all keys failed it was checking for the validity of the 05/06 keys for sanity and going through the list of sources even though they were working. I've fixed it so the only mandatory return from each source are the regular 00 and 01 keys.
2.0
----
MAJOR rewrite as a true C++ windows GUI app. This is my first windows GUI app. I tried to provide the cleanest and quickest to use GUI interface possible with very efficient keyboard acceleration for keyboard junkies too. Internally it is much better designed than my last text-based version 1.2b and soon will support source configuration through the config file for easier updates.
Configurable default output filename and source saved between sessions.
This first 2.0 release doesn't yet show the timestamps from the keys because I am going to re-implement that with a separate engine instead of the way I had it kluged for each source separately in the last release.
Also in this release an elaborate pre-fetch mode for sources to accommodate a source that recently started requiring a sub-page be loaded via a dynamic URL.
1.x
------
Revision notes pertaining to the 1.x version have been removed from the 2.0 package.
