Toshiba will begin shipping its highest-capacity 2.5-in. enterprise-class hard drive early next year. The drive comes with native encryption for data security.
What does that mean? Why would it come with automatic encryption? Isn't that something extra? Since when is that on the hard-drive itself? And, how will this affect normal everyday operation when something should go wrong? do they have software to retrieve the data if there happens to be an error with the encryption? I don't understand.
