Would I notice much or any of a difference if I ran RAID 0?

If my comp has little or no mods.If I was just to take my same setup and Run RAID 0 would I have guarenteed results. Or would it be a gamble?

It *should* as It works by accessing two identical hard disk drives in parallel, so in theory it doubles the data transfer rate between the computer and the hard disk drives. For an actual test of RAID, check the below link for a good read.

RAID 0 is a gamble no matter how you slice it my man. That Penguin you are sporting should have told you that....Access time cut almost in half potentially, in exchange for a little CPU and a DOUBLING of the fault risk to your data. if you can't wait nine nanoseconds, get up earlier.. ;)

Yes you wold theoretically have half the reed time but in reality its just 50% to 94% faster read times depending on your raid handling chips. I wold not recommend this because the speed bottlenecks are normally somewhere else in your system and by running raid 0 you are doubling your risk of losing all your data because in raid 0 if one hard drive fails you loose all data on the entire raid array. You might also have trouble setting up the array as its not always a smooth process.
