With our 2700A's down and us all waiting for a bin, I thought I'd pose a question. Until now I've been planning on buying the 9200HD with PVR. I've had good luck with Pansat. What I'm hearing now though is the NFusion is a better box already getting around N3. It also makes an HD box with PVR capabilities and the 8psk. Of course it sells for $429 delivered.: (
My questions therefore- is NFusion running today, right now?
What's 8psk? HD?

Pansat must know this and be working on a comparable box. or are they?
HHmmmmm Any thoughts forum? Wizzard?
Thanks:eek:

there is a lot of rummors going around regarding site's were coders distrubute the files ...and sites are shutting down.....or not producing the fixes at this time till they see what happens......So just need to sit back and wait to see if the water's clear up a little.....there is not much we can do at this point...GO AND CHECK THE LINK BELOW......

Well..... We should have expected this. We've seen it before. Whenever a new EXPENSIVE encryption gets cracked, providers get pissed and make waves. The water comparison is a good one. Wait and see when the water clears. I'm sure FTA will come out on top.
In the mean time I think we can expect prices to fall. It might be a good time soon to make a big purchase. There's nothing wrong with buying a FTA box. FTA is legal. The bins are not.

Big question now.... How secure is this site? Are records maintained on who downloaded what? I think we'd all like to know. Anyone have a definitive answer on that?

I was interested in this same idea of any other brand of fta receiver running a little longer than Pansat. when I looked at another site where I can download the bin file, it appeared that the sonicview receivers bin files were older...meaning that the code worked longer. but after a little investigation, it wasn't running nearly as long as it seemed, but was a few weeks longer than Pansat was at the same period of time.
what happened is that it looked like the sonicview was running from January through May. but after this investigating further, it was running from the beginning of April through May. Pansat went down once or twice in the same period of time.
I looked at the sonicview 8200. appears you also need to buy an add on card to make it recognize the whole fta stuff of which I saw the price ranged from $69.99 to $89.99. you might be able to find better deals, but like somebody else said, I'd wait until this whole thing settles down until I go spending several hundred dollars for a box I can't even use.

I for one also think that soon the water will clear and FTA will have a good sound base with some product that will work !
I feel that befor we always let things go to soon and this gave Dave the chance to make a ECM befor the testers had a good head start
Take the nag3 if the break is in fact ready would it be better to wait on releasing it until things are more secure!
That way the fix may last a lot longer than a couple of years
And the FTA boxes will be ready for anything!
Just a thought on my part I could be way off but I for one am waitin it out!!
