[Noobie Question?] Nfusion Solaris

Sorry if this has been asked before but I searched and searched and did not find my answer. Just set up my unit and all seemed to go well. Lots of channels. Problem one is there is no channel guide. The channels are there but no description. Problem two is parental control. My old viewsat asked for a password on any channel that was more than PG. Does this unit have this ability ?? The manual with the unit is very vague at best about anything.

1:Is there no guide, or is just the info missing, if info is missing press menu,user settings, and scroll down to EPG update, and change from manual to auto.
Now exit the menu, press the guide button on the remote, if there is still no info, then press the BLUE button on the remote to manual update.
2: For parental control, press menu system settings, then scroll down to parental control and set it up. As of now, your default password code is 4 zero's "0000", if you change it MAKE SURE YOU STORE IT IN A SAFT PLACE, have fun

Thanks to wizzard and domando for the help. Have the password changed and nasty channels are locked from the kiddies. Will try the guide set up again. I'm tuned in to the two DISH satalites. Are the ppv channels up ??? Thanks again guys.

Unfortunately the ppv have been dropped for now,there is rumor by DEC 02 that all will be up let us hope that this rumor is true,there is also rumor that VS will have a stand alone bin out this week keep your fingers crossed the rest will follow soon.....ricklbert

Still no guide info just the times. Blue button ??? Just says audio and enl esl.

Hit guide button then hit blue button for update EPG ...it says it right on guide screen update with blue button
