What would a good amd or intel processor include inside of it? And which one is better? intel or amd?

I have heard people say that AMD is better but the thing you want to look for is a high Ghz, like 3.00 or better if you can find it, Quad Core, and alot of cache. 6, 8, and 12 is plenty. i would go with AMD
