I downloaded chanel master the other day and to get my sat.fil and chan.fil from reciver for first time is the only way to use the serial cable then can i use usb explorer once the file is on my computer. any help would be great thanks

OK, Your channel data is used for editing your channels and your transponders. Adding and removeing.. Channel data is used for editing your channel lists. Munualy putting a channel in your list, favourates, and removeing channels.

Now if your asking how to program your dish it's a different operation that what you are preforming. Right now you are clicking on STB -> PC which means reciever to computer. You need to load open your fix (new file located on your hard drive) and click PC -> STB. Then shut off your reciever from the switch (behind the unit) then click PC -> STB then turn on the switch and it will program.
