There are no Coolsat 4000,5000,6000 File Releases. Consider upgrading your Fta..
ATTENTION: MEMBERS THAT DON'T WANT TO SPEND MONEY WITH NEW RECEIVERS...OF UPSCALE MODELS....
think well on how much you want to spend..
no ads say free tv for life, things happen, instead of getting upset over no fix, on the coolsat's 4000,5000, and 6000 just spend $100.00 on a captiveworks 700 and enjoy your tv,.
No Member or staff here is happy over what has happened ,But nothing we can say or do will change the fact,
I also had a coolsat 5000,but did not get as upset as other members, it happen to me before on blackbird.
think about getting one with usb loading and you will forget all about your bad coolsat experience ,i bought a blackbird for $499.00 and a few months later they vanished, one cant get upset at no one but themselves for making the wrong choice, good luck on your choice and,I would not sweat a coolsat again only to say,I would never buy a coolsat again and just move on,no sence missing anymore tv...
others site spreading rumors of coolsat cloning by pansat 2500 and 2700
there is no for sure update on this.
The real Coolsat 4000's DO have the Sti5518 processor. The question was whether their clones do (I would guess yes).
NOW you just have to wait and see if one of the coder types would want to make a conversion file, assuming that is possible.
I don't think we might be able to offer too much here, in that the Extremeview Magnum uses a different processor.
Best of Luck in choosing the right model
