DIRECTV Deploys Entropic Technology
DIRECTV incorporated Entropic's channel stacking switch technology in the SWM-ODU dish unit. The technology enables delivery of Ka-Band and Ku-Band satellite signals from the dish to set-top box receivers in the home via a single cable.
European satellite operator Eutelsat reported a net profit of 172.3 million euros ($268.5 million) for the fiscal year that ended June 30. For the previous year, the company reported a net profit of 159.4 million euros on revenues of 829.1 million euros.
