introduceing.... Viewsat Dongle V-Link

The IKS Nagravision 3 Solution for Your Viewsat FTA Receiver with V-Link !
The NEW Viewsat Dongle V-Link will soon be Available for some of the Viewsat line of FTA Receivers, The New Viewsat Dongle IKS solution requires the V-Link serial-to-ethernet device.

I have been doing much reading on viewsat this and that... There is a fact tho, viewsatusa.com's usa distro is busted and going to jail and skyhighelectronics.com (canadain distro) is no where to be found....

Is there hope? I have been to the v-link coders support site and not a lot is even being said there but what i have posted above. Hell, is coolsat has a serial to eathernet it's just a matter of the codeing to make the damm things work right? One thing is for sure right now no one is touching many of the fta's and no one wants to go down then they burn in flames... Ahem Nfusion.,... (rumor has it most of there coders quit)....

Way before the n3 switch i posted this rumor for the v-link and it's out there but not yet working well enough to even be in beta.

Hello.

I have visited a lot of sites and tried to get some information on this Weather forecaster for view sat machines, some ppl seem to think that it is charlie and bev that have released it and are just trying to lure in some new customers so they can start charging the end users.

Now i am only posting this information to see if the fine folks here at pete's think there is any truth to this. I really want to buy one, but i am a little hestitant on making this purchase. Looking for some expert guidance on this.

Thanks JBC

No worries, is it safe to buy.. Yes... the weather forcaster is a dongle for "updateing your local weather" but i am sure there are other uses for the equipment.. Myself i would be a little hard to bit the price of it tho. for 150$ you can get a SV with an ihub ready for iks, now the forcaster is like 100 bux itself. Cost wize i`m not sure it`s A good idea for the time being.
