No device connected!

Trying to setup 8000hd. I put a file on thumbdrive and loaded onto receiver, with no trouble. I loaded another file on the thumbdrive and tried to load to receiver, but it now tells me No device connected!. I tried another thumbdrive with the same results. I then loaded the hd5 with the loader thru the pc. All that I get is no service or scrambled and fail to get serial from server. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Buttman, I forgot to mention that I am using a newlink and not the ihub. Also I did not see anyone else having the same trouble that I am. Any advice would be appreciated.

Most channels are not up right now. Try channel 195, if it doesn't roll in post back and we can start from scratch. They are working on the servers, so things will come and go right now until there 100% back on line.

Been sitting on 195 for about 15 mins but still getting fail to get serial from server and no service or scrambled

I don't have a new link, but the principals are the same. Make sure you have the most current files loaded to receiver and new link and post your configuration settings and we can check to see if something is off. Also, make sure you have your firewalls turned off on your computer, not the router.

Are there any channels up as of now? I left it on all day and now all I get is no service or scrambled. I am not getting the fail to get serial from server anymore.I am not sure I am on a working channel right now. Can you tell me a channel that is working now? Thanks. I also set up a sv 360 premeire and it is working on the same settings that I have on the 8000.I am still not sure why I cant use the thumbdrive. It tells me no device connected when I plug it in. I tried several thumbdrives with same results. Thanks for the help.

Sorry to tell you hotrod11 it look like there doen for now making up grade hopefuly there adding more channels,,

It does not matter what server you are on....you will get the error just like everyone else does. just sit tight hope for the best,,

from what I'm reading around it's up now and also I seen other saying where you at it may take time for it to come back just turn it off with the switch in the backs do a reboot on everything and retry to connection make sure the cat 5e wire is good and if it does not connect right away, just let it sit on it may take a few hrs to pop on,, let us know,,

I am still unable to load 1.2 because it requires the use of usb. I am still getting no device connected when I try to look at a thumbdrive in the usb port. I have searched the web over and not able to find what is wrong here. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks in advance.

also so keep in mind I'm not sure if your dealing with a new box,, I don't know if you seen where it's take along time even days to connect to the server,, with all that said see if any of those new files can help you,,

O I did not Know that,,, this is why I'm confuse,, ok now I think I got it,,

I loaded the new hd6 file with the pc and cable and let the receiver do its thing. Put in the newlink and let it load from receiver and now working great. This may help somebody that is having trouble with the usb port.
