Confused with SV360 premiere files - please help

verag

New member
hello. i saw post on 9/10 with an old file that shows "SV360 Premier_V0119P Must be loaded on all new SV-360 Premiers". I'm confused. My box hasn't been working for about a month now and not sure which steps to take. I've seen lots of posts of different files, etc., but nothing is working for me. I tried loading files & the 2.2 version as well, but no luck. Can you please let me know if I should change to 119p file & then will it work or is that only to clear/reset and then wait for a new file? Also, how would I enter the Serial number into the box, I couldn't find how to do that...in case I need to store that as well in the box. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello. I already tried to enter the seriel # in the IP config section on ihub box but there is no section that shows it's to enter the Seriel number, only the DES key... is this where I'm supposed to enter the SN #? Thanks.

No that's not where you input. You need to make sure you have private server as no. You will need to get file 263 and put it on your receiver. When you open the ip configuration after loading the file you will see a serial line. If you have a hub that has a serial number that starts with 5e then input it and then hit apply. Wait for a few minutes and then reload the new software. If you have a hub that has WM in it, reset the serial field to all 0's and hit apply. You may not get a connection still, there are issues with file/hub/servers going on. Good luck. Check on channel 195 as a lot of channels are hit and miss right now.

Hello dells I have 420 loaded on my sv360 premiere, It does not show a serial line under ip configuration. Do I need to load file 263? I thought that the 420 was the latest file. Thanks

Yes you need to load the 263 file to see the serial number. Then load 420 after checking it and re-inputing.

Hello dells, I loaded 263 and put in the serial number. I then put in 420 again and now I am getting "fail to get serial from server" Am I doing something wrong. I was getting a picture before I did all of this, but now I am not. Thanks

I put the old serial number back in and now I am getting a picture again. Not sure if I need to put the serial number of the ihub in or not, but the sound is way down. I have to turn the volume almost all the way up on the tv to hear it. And yes I do have the volume up to 85% on the receiver. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks

If you got a picture your doing better than most. Roll with it!! Glad it works. Check your audio connections from the receiver to the tv.

Thank you very much. Now I know how to enter the Seriel number, however I have no luck still - no channels seem to be working right now. So should I try the 119 file to clean system and wait then for the new file that should be coming soon?

I have checked all connections and have also changed all cables with no results. I put another receiver in its place with same hookups and sound is perfect. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong with maybe a setting or wrong files. Not sure where to go from here. I can hardly hear with volume nearly all the way up. Thanks for answering.

All I can tell you guys is what has worked for me. The file has nothing to do with the sound. I'm not sure about any settings that would create a sound issue. There has been a ton of problems with Premiers and them not working. Here is what I did last night and works on and off throughout the day.

1. Turn off receiver and disconnect the hub and satellite cable. (loading files with sats connected can cause errors in the data stream)
2. Factory reset 3 times and hard boot between each reset
3. Load system clean file 3 times and hard boot between each
4. Load file 420 3 times with a hard boot between each
5. Reconnect sats and scan then hard boot
6. Reconnect hub and re-start receiver. Leave it on one channel overnight.

That is what I did and it produces tv on and off throughout the day. In my opinion something beyond our control is not working correctly. File/hub/server, we will have to wait while they sort it out. Let me know how this works out for you.

Mine stays up without doing all of that. All I did was load the 420 and 2.2 for ihub, but I still have the problem with the volume. Not sure what is going on with that.

Cool B, hope it helps someone. I have been up all day. If it worked for me it should work for others with the serial error.
