Hi All....long time reader, first time poster....so here it goes.

I have a viewstat ultra (VS2000 ULTRA) and loaded the latest file (Oct 30) but the darn thing is still sutorll processing. The dish is set up for DN.

Anyone else experiencing issues with DN?

model: vs2000 ultra
BL version: 0.12
Satellite: u001
HW Version: v0.1

Signal/quality both are bouncing around the high 80's

Cheers,
Ryan

thanks to both replies but it is still a no go.

I tried the Oct 29th file from two sources a number of times.....still auto rolling....not sure what is going on.......I guess I'll keep loading until it just works. Usually the picture kicks in right after reboot.

I thing your switch might be faulty it may be stuck on one sat switch to d!sh then shut box off then on it might jump start the switch give it a try ..

Whenever I had this type of issue I double checked my sat configuration to make sure it was all correct and sometimes it mysteriously had changed it itself. So once corrected, put the tv on channel 200 and quickly enough tv was back in action.

Thanks all.....I gave up and reset back to factory defaults. Even after the reset I still needed to load a good sat file before the new pgm took.

I have the same problem with a 9000HD. Bev is working (those channels left of course) and switching is fine since DN Ch 100 works as well. For anything else it is a black screen. That has been the case for a week now.

k.. real newbie here..
testing viewsat ultra lite with today's latest peg file.
antenna setup: satellite, nimiq 1,3 91.0W; lnb freq, 11250; tp freq 12224
(with regard to tp freq in antenna setup, i have been testing difference tp freq to see if there is a difference, not sure if this necessary/required)
i receive some ppv, (improvement from yesterday, but not all movie stations)
using a typical dish, one lnb normally used for BEV
yes, at some point, will set up for true FTA (want to see what is available out there) read the files.. we're just getting our feet wet here.
thanks!

Ok simple answer.... Nopers... A B3v lnb is a circular lnb. Only used in d1sh, b3v and direct TV. Circular lnb's are specific to pay providers because the birds in the sky put out a lot more power allowing users to have small dishes. (18" and 20") Starchoice had a linier LNB, which is the other standard of the 2 types of KU band. All real FTA must have a Linier lnb, and a Min. of a 32 inch dish. The reason for the size of the dish is because free TV does not have the same amount of power as the pay ones so you need a bigger reflector to gather enough signal to use it.

If you are intrested in fta, i would be looking to point to G10. I think it's 123 deg. west and has a lot of the US networks on it. Keep in mind tho it's like ant tv.
