MAXHD Looses sound when changing channels

Whenever I change channels just by up or down I loose sound. If I go to guide and scroll to a channel and select it is ok. I have scanned my channels and get multiple channels and when I channel up or down the sound stays through the multiple channel but as soon as it goes to the next channel I get silence.If I try and reinstall the latest BIN file I go to RECEIVER UPGRADE and try to reload I get to the USB spot and it won't select. If I turn the switch on the back off then back on again I get sound back and the remote function work properly. But still when I try and delete the extra channels I am unable to.SHOULD I TRY A FACTORY FILE ?

Wow are you haveing problems... should have gotten a 9000

Worst case, load the factory file from viewsatusa.com and then do a reciever default. Then try loading the new fix and re-scanning the channels..

Do I need to run a CLEANER FILE first or Just leave it the way it is and it will over ride?

Just right over top. LOAD the orginal file, then load the new fix, rescan

So I did that. I still have the problem of Repeat channels, cant delete manualy, remote and picture freezes. can't change channels without loosing sound unless I do it through the guide. Could it be I got a CLONE ? or just a bad receiver ?

tell us more about what kind of dish you have lnbf also what kind of switch you r useing

OK I talked to a friend with max he has same problem so maybe it's a corupt file .. I'll do some research

this is my system im running max hd with 119 sat 110 sat 129 sat 61.5 all chanellr working fine with dp 44 switch with power inserter

Thanks Face I appriciate that. I talked to the guy I bought it from. I was going to send it back because I thought the machine was bad. He said if it wasnt it would cost me 40 bucks plus shipping. But if its just a file, I will wait to see what you find out...Thanks again for all your help. You guys are awsome

I am not getting 110 QUALITY only signal. Would this cause me to get Multiples when I scan both 110 and 119 but on the multiples only 1 (echo 7) shows up

Yes and no.. depends on your dish setup outside, if there both pointed at or recieveing the same bird then yes.. mostlikely no, but i have seen a lot stranger things.

Maybe another max user to send a copy of there satinfo file and channel list for you to load. That may help as well..

Angel, Face, And Hobo..I got alot figured out..I found that I was not SKEWED on Sat 110, I was picking up a signal on 110 but it was actually 119 (wrong TP Freq). Also I had to make sure that 119 is on PORT 1 and 110 is on PORT 2 on my Diseqc 1.0 setting in the ANT SET UP. Once I got that straightened out. I Deleted all channels and rescanned. I still got multiple channels (mainly in the 100's and 200's) Got many HD channels.Still can not delete them manualy, remote and picture lock up. Would loose sound when changing channels, only at first. Once I let it WARM UP I guess you would say, It started functioning normaly. So FACE if you find something out about the whole NOT BEING ABLE TO DELETE MULTIPLES please let me know......So in closing make sure your Dish is picking up the correct sat when you are in the ant set IE 110 sat/port 2/12224 TP FREQ/and that it actually shows EchoStar 10,11 110.0W next to the signal strength and not 119...And 119 sat/port 1/12239 TP FREQ shows EchoStar 7 119 next to the signal strength you should be good to go.....I cant tell you all how much I appriciate your help..Hope I didnt over do it in this thread but hope I can help others...Or maybe everyone else gets it, I just couldnt get it...Thanks again..And please post about the channel thing if anyone hears anything

Well thats great ..... took a little time but your much more schooled in fta now .. just a few settings .... well it's nice to know your up and running & maybe you will be able to hele someone else out one day ... that's how we all started at one time .. beleive it or not ...Cheers...
