I would like to know if the latest bins released for pansat 3500sd have worked for you. I have updated my pansat with the last bins, but it never opens the channels. Just free channels.
So, I wonder if it is my equipment that has a problem or if I need something extra.

Thanks.

Also remember.. More often then not. After you load a new bin you have to let your box sit turned on a channel and let it sit for 20+ minutes. That lets it get the key sequence. I've also noticed occasionally i have to rescan the sats.

Did your setup work with the previous bin?

If not Post your settings.

No, it hasn´t worked with any of latest bins. I tried with 316, 317, 318, and now 319 and no results. I know if it is because I had to J-tag my pansat. I am just receiving free channels, but nothing about dish network.

I'm not familiar with JTAG process because i never had to do it personally. However, it sounds like you revived your STB to a workable state (JTAG sucessful) if you can get it load a bin file and everything else seems to work good. what loader do you use to load your bin? With my Pan2700 i use GTROM loader. Maybe try a different loader. Also factory reset and rescan your sats?? I've had to do that a couple times in the past.

i never personally went through needing to jtag, so hopefully someone can jump in and help you out.

Try here- Shows how to re-load boot using the Null cable.

You should be able to blind scan your sats and have the box locate all available channels free and scrambled. If your not able to do that then post your settings for us. Also im assuming you have your dish aimed properly????????

Thanks for your help. It worked. I followed the procedure and now I can see the channels. But something that is happening now is that the switch (Disecq) is not mixing the channels or satelite. I can pick up 119 or 110, but not together and I try with a different switch. I don´t if it is because I put it the channel list. I didn´t scan the satellite. But then i did and nothing and reset for factory settings and nothing.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

did you read carefully were it say's Pansat 3500 How to Recover Alert! do not reboot box....a lot of member miss this step and reboot

Pansat 3500 Alert!

Please be advised:

If for any reason, your STB starts acting weird, like loss of signal, picture freezes or it starts rebooting.
Follow these directions;
hook up null modem
click boot
find boot file and hit download
wait for it to finish (wont say on or last channel number)
DO NOT REBOOT BOXclick file app
next find the 304 bin or the latest working bin
load straight into box with null modem
Wait for it to boot back to ON
(dont forget to back up your channel lists)
NOTE: If your picture freezes, locking out control from the remote. Do NOT reboot from the back switch, doing so may result in JTag. Follow the above procedure, which will unlock your STB and prevent a JTag .
