[Help!] replace IX-100 to IX-200

with the help of you guys a few week ago cnx-nona donlge IX-100 was not connection to the intenet well it turn out the IX-100 was bad, sh*t happen, but with out the help of you guys snake, pupl, and tor I would never figure it out,

I was tring to find a new IX-100 but the only thing I was able to get was IX-200, I hook it up now I'm on the internet with the IX-200 but I have no pic and it saids scamble
the 3 light on the new dongle or showing good 2 lite where the eathernet wire green is on steady the yellow is blinking slow, the 3rd light is green and blinking
Rs-232 mode
(type) - dongle
(net work)- ip setup
network setting- on auto
ip address- 192.xxx.x.xx
subnet mask-255.xxx.xxx.0
gateway - 192.xxx.x.x
dns- 192.xxx.x.x
as you all can see it hook to the network but not i do beleave is not going to the server,
all I did was hook up the new IX-200 nothing else,
was I suppose to add or change something,

any help would be thankful tring to get the system to work,,

Did you update the dongle firmware thru the usb to 2.0.17?

Did you go into the RS232, dongle menu & set it to auto then apply until it gets a local address?

no,,, i not did update the usb,,,
how do i up date the usb to 2.0.17

i did try to update rs232 with the auto and apply and reg. failed

I think you misunderstood about the dongle update. Using a formatted USB drive, did you update the 200 dongle to the latest dongle file?

Ask Wizzard about this dongle file first: IX-X00-E_A2.0.17_T0455.zip.

I'm not sure it is for use with the nano, but it is for duo & trio.

ok bruksn I need "spoon feeding" I never loaded a file on this type of system well you know that
hey wizzard, bruksn or who ever, I need to know how to add this file or the right file in dumbie trem like i was a 5yr. old
i will get it, its just take me a little more time then the most people, due to old age and set in my ways,, but for some reason you guys put it into a way, i can understand when yous do that I do see other jump on the band wagon and they learn as well,,

when I go to the utiliy this is what i got now
system info

now when I go to the USB there nothing in there
it just has File name and it blank

now for me to add a file to update from IX-100 to IX-200
do I find a file and transfer it onto a usb stick and put the stick in the box i guess what ever would be on that stick would show up in the (usb) files and the updated file i would have to high light it and push the (green) save data
is this how it suppose to work????

P.S. this is all new to me if this was a DB i would of been done..

Here in this thread there some screen shots of the menu common to nano, duo & trio:

Find the latest factory file, update for nano 1, & dongle files & save these 3 subfolders to individual folders in a general cnx folder so they are easy to find. Unzip each file in its own folder(R click & select extract here).

Copy each of these extracted files to the formatted(fat32) usb drive.

With the nano stb turned off from the rear switch, insert the usb drive into the front port & power the stb back up.

Go into menu to utilities then to usb & click OK on remote. Select auto-detect(OK). Highlight the factory file first & do the SW update.

Wait unitl it reboots back to menu then update the next file for the nano & wait for reboot. Again.

Highlight the dongle file( the one without the gear next to it) & do the SW update again. The message box will tell you it's updating the dongle.

Setup your diseqc switch & lnbs, do the channel scan.

Back to the RS232>dongle>auto ip address>apply until you get a local ip.

Set the channel to 239, press the red button twice to populate the epg.

Enjoy your pablum. lol
