I just got my Viewsat 9000 HD version 2 for Xmas, and I was wondering if anyone else has one. If so maybe you could help me figure out how to transfer info from this site to my computor to the reciever. I don't know where to start or how to do it. Thanks

Viewsat 9000 Setup Guide Using USB
1. First you must download and unzip (extract) the yymmdd.pgm from the Files section.

2. Insert your Memory Stick in your PC and either transfer the extracted .pgm file from your computer or you can extract it directly to your USB drive.

3. Insert the USB drive into your STB. (either rear or front - just make sure you enable REAR USB or FRONT USB in the menu - under USER SETTING - OPTION) If the STB doesn't recognize you flash drive, make sure the drive is formated FAT32.

4. In the Main Menu select System information and press OK
Select Receiver Upgrade and press OK
Go down to the bottom of the window, select USB and press OK
A new window opens with files. Select your pgm file and press OK.

VERY IMPORTANT. DO NOT TURN THE POWER OFF
Let the receiver finish and reboot on its own!!!

Select User Setting -> EPG Setting.
Set EPG TP to E:12472 and N:12311.

6. The following assumes you have put 119 on port #1 and 110 on port #2. You should change these to the way you have wired and connected to your switch.

SETTING UP ANTENNA SETTINGS: (119)
MENU -- INSTALLATION -- ANTENNA SETUP

Scroll top line (RIGHT/LEFT arrow key) to EchoStar 7 119.0W
LNB Power ON
LNB Type STANDARD (LEGACY LNB) or ("OCS-DP" for PRO LNB) depends on what you have.
LNB Freq. 11250
22KHz OFF
TP Freq. 12239 (it will default back to 12224 -thats normal)
DiSEqc 1.0 PORT 1
Motor OFF (If none)
You should display EchoStar 7 119.0W in the top right of the display!!! If not, you don't have your ports setup correct or your dish is not aimed correct.
"EXIT" and "YES" to Save.

SETTING UP ANTENNA SETTINGS: (110)
MENU -- INSTALLATION -- ANTENNA SETUP

Scroll top line (RIGHT/LEFT arrow key) to EchoStar 8,10 110W
LNB Power ON
LNB Type STANDARD (LEGACY LNB) or ("OCS-DP" for PRO LNB)depends on what you have.
LNB Freq. 11250
22KHz OFF
TP Freq. 12224
DiSEqc 1.0 PORT 2
Motor OFF (If none)
You should display EchoStar 8,10 110W in the top right of the display!!! If not, you don't have your ports setup correct or your dish is not aimed correct.

"EXIT" and "YES" to Save.

Repeat the above steps for all of the sats you have LNB's for...

"EXIT" to the MAIN MENU

7. Channel Scan (also from Installation menu)
Select Auto Scan
Press OK
You can change the sat you want to scan by using the F1 button and selecting the sat to scan. Press exit to get out of the sat selection menu.
Select Scan Start and press OK. Do this for all the Sats you have.

8. Exit and save the settings

9. Wait for Autoroll and watch TV

I hope I haven't missed anything!!!

Thanks for the help, I think that I might have it programed now. I just need to figure out how to get the keys from this site onto my USB stick or do I have to imput them manually. And I notice in my reciever uses 08, 09, 88 and 89 but on this site it uses 86 and 96, do I need to change my 88 and 89 to say 86 and 96 or are these not the right keys for my machine??? Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for being so confused and thanks for any help anyone can give.

There is a easy way. A program in the loaders section called VSkey will make a OPkey file you can load, load the keys with your USB. There is manual entery as well.

Hi! :)
I need a little help... Im going to buy Viewsat 9000 V2 soon and i just wanted to confirm that it will work on my dish and i wont need anything else...
I've got a 20' Original Bev dish with SW21 pointed onto 82 and 91 sat's. AS i understand i will not need a 8 psk thing to get HD, right? How many HD channels will i get? Somewhere in the forum i saw that Bev has very limited channels, why is that?
Thanks in advance!

Just bough Viewsat 9000 V2
Software is in, everything seems to be working fine, got about 600 channels working, 55 HD(Sat's 91 and 82)...but, im found out that SW41 that came with the receiver gets lesser signal than my SW21, so i decided to use SW21 for now. Still some channels take a long time to start... does anybody else has this problem?

I don't know of anyone else having this problem and I don't test the 9000 hd but you can try the following see if it will work....

Viewsat 9000 HD Boot Loop Fix Version 2

Running this file takes some time, so don't be in a hurry and please wait until it is done installing. Use this file when your Viewsat 9000 HD is stuck in a 'boot loop'.
This is when your receiver displays "BOOT", "00:00 am", "ON" and then cycles back to "BOOT" and repeats the sequence, never to actually turn on. Not recommended for any other problems.
Use PVR Loader and serial cable null it's work so fine

The above name switch is what I use and works great have had problems with lesser switches Good Luck .......
