Can anybody in here help on this. After I downloaded the missing channel file all my channels are in weird sequence. The channels no longer goes 101, 102,103...140 for ESPN etc. It now starts at 4000 to begin, and has taken away ESPN, ESPN1 & 2, game channels, and all others. What can I do to make it go back to my original sequence i.e. 101......140....8102, and etc.
Can anybody in here help me on this. I should have never downloaded the missing file channels bin for Viewsat Ultra last night. Ugh. Help.

Hit sat button & select Echostar Package that should put channels in right order it was probably on all channels & if you don't like the file you loaded do a factory reset or rescan your channels.......................................

Thanks, I'll try to do that once I get back home tonight. The funny thing is I did a factory default and rescan and it stills comes back to channel 4000 to start. Will your instruction of Satellite Package will make the channels come back to 0101 and 0102...etc in that order again? Anyway, thank you so much for the quick help there. I hope it'll work.

will going to sat echostar package get my channel to start at 100 instead of 4000?
The 4000 digits are killing me here. Ugh. Anyway, thank you for your advice.

you need to sort out your channels by sid..this will bring them in in the 100's and your locals also will be under 100's...Go to the menu and look for sort by sid .............

I did that like 10 times already. No luck. After closing power and power on it brings me back to channel 4000 to start. I'm up to my neck with this issue here. Any other way besides Sid sort? I can't believe it happened like this. Anyway, thanks for you help Casper.

There is got to be something wrong in your sat setup that's doing this....re-check your sat settings...Have you tried disconnect your lnb cable or maybe could be a bad lnb....

Also have you tried to reload the regular bin not the missing channel bin for your model if not try that

Get to know you box !!

There are 4 types of files you can load to your Viewsat box.

PGM (aka BIN) - contains encryption information
SAT - contains Satellite & TP info
CHA - channel List file
OPKEY - Contains the keys for providers

Try loading this file and rescan your sat's

i loaded this file bin already. The major problem was after loading the missing channel bin and all hell broke loose. And then I finally realized my box was a clone. After doing some research it said that's what may happened once you've downloaded a file bin made for original boxes. I don't know how true that is but I guess they're right about that one.
Also my power switch on the back is sideway. One thing I haven't tried yet is what FAce33 instructed me to do is try Sat Echostar Package and rescan. I hope that works. Thanks Casper.

some receivers have factory reset and others have factory default it's the same thing..

Also in the clone section are the files for the viewsats....

I got my espn and game channels back. But the problem still exist with the channel screw up. All my channels are whack. It starts with 4000 or espn is on 4085 and game channel is on 4186. Weird. I just want to get back the original channel settings like 455for pay per view fight events, 140 for ESPN, and GSN on 116. Any idea about getting back to original specs? I have my port2 on echostar 8 and port 1 on echostar 7.
Help, anyone?

Finally got rid of the 4000 digit channels when power on. I had to turn off SID on system setup. Now I got some channels back, but they're not the same channels like before: channel 140 for ESPN, 455 for pay per view events, 116 for GSN game channel & etc. Does anybody in here got the frequency for echostar 7 and echostar 8 for their appropriate channels?
That would help me a lot. After days of playing around with it it's all by turning off the SID option for channels. DUH me. But, also, without the help of Casper and Face33 it wouldn't have been possible. My thanks to you two in here. But I really want my original frequency for those channels. Thanks.

Is there anyway I can erase the missing channel bin file in my Viewsat Ultra? That's the main culprit that ruined my channels. Funny is that I had tried all TB Frequency to no avail to make my ESPN to 140 and pay per view events on 455/457. I'm scratching my head with this one here. I even checked out the lyngsat.com link and followed it. Killer.
