Hello there,
I have just gotten a used fortec lifetime ultra.
How do I know if it is still a fortec (not converted), or if it has been converted to a pansat 2500, 2700A?

Thank you greatly for your help and advice.

Thank you soubi. I do not think it is converted yet. When I turned the power on, the box did not show any of the above, but showed a quick 6.0 ( I think) the on; However, the screen shows fortec Star when I click on the menu. So, I do not believe it is converted.
The question is, what programs do I need to upload and in what order in order ro conver it to Pansat 2700 (to use the b-75 bins ).
I have another converted foretec star Lifetime Ultra, for which I use the b-75 bins for.
Thanks greatly

Conversion Setup Fortec Lifetime Ultra (FLU) to Pansat 2700

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Conversion FLU to Pansat 2700 (Keeping same Remote)
You need a Cable (9 pins) Straight through Serial Connection

Make sure Ports are the same (bl 1.4 loader and windows
port number has to match with loader same port 1, 2, 3 if you got errors
can't find port then change it on loader until you get through ok, lets move on
Remember Fortec Lifetime Ultra to Pansat 2700 Convertion ONLY

Keeping same Remote Control working fine, Lets Begin:

First download all files you need save them to desktop so you can find them later.

Unzip them to desktop again so you can find them.

Make sure you have the Following Files:

Blacklist 1.4.0.0 updater

j27_205_1

jvvh_211_pwtd.....

and the latest bin file starting with... cs_xxxt_lightning_100t_series....or......
jvvh_xxx_....ok either one will work for flu clone safe the (t) after the numbers is what means clone safe or tested same thing or jvvh ok you did unzip everthing to desktop

Right click on zip file and choose (extract to here) Desktop lets start with the cable make sure is connected to the back of the computer and other end to the back of the receiver now plug the receiver to wall (power) make sure is off from back switch then open Blacklist 1.4.0.0 Loader and Click on (select bin) choose j27_205_1...(open)..turn on the reciever and on Loader & Click (write file) now wait until the reciever goes to (on)
position reboots you will see "b75" run across the screen. This is normal, let it boot like i said until goes back to (on) when the "on" is displayed on the screen turn the receiver off from the back switch and get ready to load the other bin #jvvh_211_pwtd do the same thing you just did...select file open turn power on from the back of the receiver and click "write file"....ok
wait until this finishes and screen displays ("on") on display...
ok now look for the latest bin file

Remember cs_xxxt_lightning_100t_series......or jvvh_xxx...and download save to desktop
Unzip it remember unzip the file and open Loader select file (open)..turn receiver on from back click on ("write file") let the receiver boot and display "on" on display front of box.......
now unplug everthing hook to TV turn on the receiver and wait to go on it will take a minute click ok to english ...dish setup....antenna setup look for echo 8.10ku click ok on that with channel down buttom go to bottom of screen says "all" click "ok" on that and wait for scan to finish... after this is done click exit and exit again and go to (cas control menu) click "OK" on that put 0000 three times then click once with channel down button and it will go to (cas pin) put 0000 and it will go to cas system scroll down with channel down button to (auto roll option) click ok on that it will go to (auto roll emu /settup)
now scroll down turn off with right button dishnet auto roll (off) bev autoroll..(off) globecast auto roll (off)...leave key code (on) now click exit four times and you are done!!
wait for keys to roll and watch tv then you have to change time and date for tv guide to come on. Turn Summer Time off and you are go to go thanks to coders for making this possible.
