Does pansat even work any more.

Is it me or has Pansat not put out a bin in 6 months that works. Ye for a moment. Now I get nothing and they continue to put out new bins that give me nothing. WHY BOTHER?

My friends are all switched to to view sat and they work. What a waste of money. If you listen to them I have had free service for years. Its really getting to not be worth it on hassles alone.

Does anyone know a bin that really or even partially works or has DN stomped pansat down for good and they dont want to admit it.

Pansat is up only on bev right now. I can't answer which is a better unit. I have seen Pansat up first, I have seen others first. I know that for me, this is just fun and I have a sub for my real watching. People who use this for their only service should not complain when it is down. It's free! It is a crap shoot on which receiver will be the first. Maybe owning two different mfgr. receivers would fit for people who rely on the testing as their only source of TV.

I get tired of hearing that its free. You buy boxes, periferals, and spend countless hours in dealing with this stuff. I many cases many people buy memberships into these web sites to even get bins. So its far from free and disrespectful for you to even insinuate that it is. I know someone is making a lot of money somewhere from this free service or it wouldnt be here.

I also get tired of people saying be patient. Stick with me if you can. The box goes out, you faithfully wait for a bin checking sometimes hourly and when one comes out it dont work. It didnt work when it was posted! Then you wait some more and the next one dont work when its posted. At what point in time can you say wait a munute. why put it on if it didnt work in the first place. OH I know its free. GOTCHA!

I guess next Ill be threatened by the web police. OHHHHHHHHHHH NO!

I'ts not free you buy these receiver's from big companies who are making profits out the sales. So whent you buy this receivers you pay with money they are not giving it to you for free. Where you get this so called free technical support of course from this website and other like this one. So don't be a fool and mention that this service its free cheaper but not free.

I've got one 3500sd and one viewsat receiver, both of them will on occasion go down but that's part of the guessing game between us and the sat companies.Besides Pansat is not allowed to put out bins that will hack sats, coders are the ones that keep us whatching free T.V.....But to answer your question, in the last week only Viewsat and coolsat receivers have stayed up to my Knowledge.

Ok, I am wondering if there is a way to pay for a legitamate subscription that keeps my pansat 6000HXC up? I am in a peculiar situation where because of where I live even the sub is not reliable. If there is a way to subscribe, I am willing to do it. I fear though, that being outside of the USA I would not be permitted to purchase. I would be happy to do it if it doesn't matter.

So, you bought a Pansat receiver and knowingly have modified the device to do something that is was not intended to do, and voids the warranty. Your assumptions are that Pansat now gives a "kick back" to coders that break BEV and DN's encryption scheme. So, Pansat and others are risking their companies and personal assets so we can have FTA. Remember, the U.S. laws are very clear about FTA. If you receive it and you have to take measures to decrypt it without authorization from the providers, you are breaking the law. Testing is flimsy argument, but you have taken the attitude that you indirectly paid for the "testing rights" and service.

DN and BEV are targeting FTA boxes because they are inexpensive to buy and getting a lot of sales. They are throwing every ECM they can at these units. I have done programming, and writing an EMU is tough enough, but when you are writing one that has unknown changing parameters, it is a bitch. Give these guys some credit, they are really doing a good job. If you want a better guarantee, than go into the card EMUs. They are a true emulator and have fewer ECM. that shut them down. They also cost more and most software are on protected sites where you will pay a premium for the code.

As for this site, and others, they do not charge for their service, nor do most of them control when BINS will be put out. We get them and post them as a service to you, as do most other sites. The VIP status give you access to the experts that can help you with issues surrounding your FTA box, but it does not guarantee you quicker, better working BINS. We don't control that.

So, feel free to go to another manufacture. They too will stumble at times, as Pansat has, but for now my money is on Pansat as I feel confident they will be here for the long haul, and it is a pretty good product.

If this reply is for me..... well I never said that the guys working in decoding the ECM's and creating bin's does not worked hard on this. I really appreciated that hard work that this guys are putting in order for us to get Sat signal. and everybody know this. But to say that this is a free service I think its a fallacy. Sat companies gives you the receiver in most cases up to 4 for free and all the wiring is done by their technicians for free and is included in a one year membership. There after you paid for the monthly services. In this case you do not paid monthly fee: but you have to buy receiver, wiring. Spent countless hour in putting the system to work, also looking for bins every time a new bin its need it. This post from the beginning its not about putting in doubt the credibility and hard work that coder and moderators invest for this system to work, but rather the disrespect when a bin its posted more than ones and does not work. being in the game its a gamble that everybody here is on. but like in any game when you spectation is to receive anything in return you have to paid for it. In this case all the people here has invest their money in expensive receivers, wiring and everything else you need to make this receivers work. So please take this into consideration!!!!!!!

I am for real. DN is down, but BEV is up, so I have one to view if I want to. I also have my sub... When the new bin is out, I will load it and enjoy until the next ECM. I will not be pissed off because my Pansat is down and Extreme is up before Pansat, nor be laughing because Pansat is up before Extreme. Why, because my perspective of what I bought is, it works when it works.

My pansat 2700A is down also...was up for about two weeks with bin 248 but went down on Thursday. Bummer as I wanted to watch NASCAR qualifying...

I don't watch much tv but picked up this pansat only because a guy I worked with had one for cheap...You guys complaining that you expect working bins from a hacked receiver????? You gotta be kidding right? These guys coding these bins are doing you a HUGE favor! Without them, you'd be watching FTA 100% of the time only! I bought this Pansat 2700A expecting to receive the FTA channels, thats a given, but the subs are a bonus that I'm glad to have when the bins work and figure, 'oh well' and go find something else to do when they don't. If your receiver doesn't decode the subs, take that time to get online and THANK the coders for giving you the previous working bins and encourage them to continue providing future bins! Stop complaining and start encouraging!!!! Complaining is a sure way to discourage coders from providing bins PERIOD!

Back to current status, My Radio channels all work fine. All 123 stations on Echo 7 working fine but, not a single video channel other than the FTA's? Anyone else having this issue? Getting the "Bad or scrambled channel" message. I've reloaded the pansat bin and then the latest bin but still nothing.

I think I'll set up another dish to try and get BEV so at least can switch to that one sometimes. Maybe a third dish for some of the FTA's when the subs are down. Start surfing some of the other birds and see what they have to offer.

Right now there is no fix out for DN. Have not heard what the issues the coders are having problems with. It is usually Map calls and timing issues for those calls. I did what you are considering, adding another dish for bev. A lot of the programming is the same and lately when one goes out, the other is still up for a while. It is like they are playing with the coders LOL

Thats right people think that just because they buy a rec. it should run all the time when they know ahead of time it is a get it when you can and don't complain that your down for awhile. Thats like the people the keep asking were to get the bins , thats just lazy when all they have to do is read a little.

hello everyone, im want to add my 2 cents please. i just started reading this post today, and i felt like adding my 2 cents. i see both sides of this. im going to give you an example. i brought a rec. off ebay. it cost me about 100 bucks shipped. then it wasnt programmed right, i tryed and could not get it. so i sent it to pansat for upgrade. after receiving it back and another 60 bucks shipped back to me its still not working. VERY FRUSTRATING. i dont blame anyone but myself for not having the knowledge. the other hand i see the great support that i receive from the mediators, and the coders. i think they work real hard on providing this service. the only issue i see is this. when there is instructions on this site for you to do something, it dont tell you want to do if you dont get pass a certain step. im a real dummy to this. i fried several boxes. i have alot of money invested in this, i think its too much invested to walk away now. im afraid of asking for detailed instructions, because SOMETIMES im told to use the search, and that dont help either. so my question is: can this site support someone, who deceide to start doing this today? is there a dummies 101 class? cngr96 is this why i cant dl to my receiver because im trying to dl b3v bins, and not dish bins?

This is one example of what I'm Talking about. Its like investing money and all of it sudden you got to go in bankruptcy and have nothing to show for it. Once you get in this game and had spend a lot of money in this hobby you just have to stay to see if you get your money work. But this is something that mods don see. They ask for patience and we ask for the same. This user spend about $160 for one receiver which he bought on eBay. I spend 180 plus shipping and handling for each receiver I got, 3 of then. Plus connector, wiring and everything else.

moo2 I understand where you are coming from. It is very frustrating to have the receiver in front of you and it will not work. But, I am not in front of your system, therefore I have no clue what you have or what your issue is. I can only go on what you have told me so far which is very little. This is why mods want people to search the board for ideas first. It gives you a chance to better understand your system. Then, you are able to give us the needed information to help you. I will try to support you the best I can, but not having the full configuration information limits me in what I can help you with.

So, here is what I think you have:
2700a Should have B75 code and at factory code around 120
Dish 500 or 1000 dish, and a dual LNB looking at 110 and 119
Another dish looking at bev 91
switch??
I assume that you are receiving FTA clear channels now?

So, you now just need to download the latest bin. The loader you need is at https://preferredbypete.com/loaders-42/
download Pansat 2700 X-87BL Loader v27.02
Download the current bin, for the 2700, it is X-87BL_080208_B75_249_api.zip
Set the program up to download the bin to the receiver. The cable is a 9 pin female on both ends. You should have gotten one with the receiver
Download the bin.
After the receiver resets, go to menu, parental control, enter code, and the select “set default keys”
Exit out of the menu and go to channel 200 on dn or 300 0n bev (Since dn is down now, use bev)

Now, if any part of this is wrong, or fails, please tell me exactly where and I’ll try to figure it out, or maybe someone else will have an idea.
