cngr96, I hope you're right about pansat being good in the long haul. I'm new to the whole fta scene, and it's been a pain in the butt since the day I bought about 2-3 months ago. I should have stuck with paying a satellite provider a monthly service because I've only been able to watch tv for maybe 2 weeks. and I'm not even getting that many stations. I'm using a pansat 2700 a with a dish network 300 series dish. this bin crap is for the birds. we need a bin file that will last more than 5 days. as you can tell, I'm still in the middle of deciding whether I want to keep this fta or not. saving money is a good motivator to keep it.

If you bought FTA as your only source of TV, then in my humble opinion, you made a mistake. I still have a subscription for my main viewing and use the FTA for the things I do not get with my sub, like the other locals, movies, etc. This FTA testing is just that, testing to see how long I can go before we get ecm'd again. I would suggest you have both, a sub FTA. Also, I have dishes that look at both dn and bev, and a movable one.

moo2. Go to the Pansat USA and download their loader program and their most current BIN. Try downloading that to your FTA unit. If it still does not work, then I would send it back to the Pansat repair place you sent it to for repair and tell them you cannot load the factory BIN into it. They should warranty their work. If you can load the factory BIN into it, then we need to look at the bins you are downloading and the loader program you are using.

Is it me or has Pansat not put out a bin in 6 months that works. Ye for a moment. Now I get nothing and they continue to put out new bins that give me nothing. WHY BOTHER?

My friends are all switched to to view sat and they work. What a waste of money. If you listen to them I have had free service for years. Its really getting to not be worth it on hassles alone.

Does anyone know a bin that really or even partially works or has D!sh stomped pansat down for good and they dont want to admit it.

you can see b*V 3500 bin 353, 9000 bin 9043 so

According to what I 've read in this thread, there are many out there who
do not have any knowledge on sats technology and just because they paid
for equipment they expect selfishly to get the results of the ones who have
spent years into this hobby.
Pansat sells excellent receivers, I have a very old Pansat 2500, a 3500,
an Ultra Viewsat and a SonicView HD.
For many years I enjoyed searching the skies with my old 2500. I have
been getting even Asian channels. All these years I have had a steady
program with Hispasat 1c/1d which includes excellent channels from Spain,
TVMarti, Cuba, Argentina and around 12 Muslim channels. It never goes
off through the years and my Pansat 2500 through Nagravision 1 has never
stopped catching them.
As I see it, the ones who complain believe they have the right to criticize
our forum and demand things they didn't pay for.
When they bought their FTA receivers it was specified clearly everywhere
that it could be used as a hobby, but not intended to break the law or
pick up private services which others pay for.
Those complainers do not cooperate, they do not donate anything and all
they do is cry for their ignorance.
Lately my Viewsat Ultra has been for weeks without DN but as I have an
additional LNB pointing at Bev I have always had those Canadian channels
plus Hispasat through it.
Even my expensive ($425) Sonicview HD has been down lately occasio-
nally, because although these complainers, who don't know anything about
it, are unaware that the war and struggle continues, and BL geniuses are having a difficult time searching codes and facing changing intermitent parameters which not even sophisticated algorhytms can find.
I want to let those complainers stop their weeping and take positive
attitudes towards these realities.
Pansat 3500 is working perfectly now picking up Bev (around 300 channels) and Hispasat (40 channels)including PPVs, VUs, VODs and all adult Venus channels (11), but you have to experiment, add an extra LNB, load your
3500 with the old X-05BL_080102_352_api_nocard fixed (which you can
find in the download sections of Pansat) and please, STOP complaining.
If we didn't have "PreferredbyPete" and other free services of information
where we have learned so much, we would have to throw all our equipment
in the garbage.
The least we expect from you is to be patient and do not disturb with
your silly complaints. Someone else is complaining of lost signal because
it is raining very often. Are we responsible for that too?
